Strategic Plan
Scripture encourages Christians to carefully plan, commit our ways to the Lord, and depend on God to help us accomplish our goals. As a result, the administration of ECA desires to share with you the plans, goals, and dreams for the immediate future.
Excel Christian Academy has set the bar high and desires to meet these strategic goals. We also realize we desperately need God’s help; otherwise, we labor in vain. We seek to be faithful stewards of the school God has entrusted to us, Excel Christian Academy. We are committed to remaining faithful to our mission, vision, and core values. We anticipate the many amazing things we will see God accomplish through our students in the years to come.

Strategic Goal #1: Christ-Centered Culture
Remain committed to maintaining an environment based on the absolute truth of Jesus Christ.
- Intentional focus by ECA administration, to develop employees that are Christ-centered tone setters.
- Intentional focus on student development specifically focused on a Biblical worldview
Strategic Goal #2: Academic Program
Provide a diverse, rigorous, academic program
- Maintain accreditation through National Association of Private Schools and Illinois Association Christian Schools
- Develop and discover support programs to assist students in math and reading
- Develop elective opportunities such as art, music, drama, foreign languages, shop, etc.
- Continual development of our ESL program
Strategic Goal #3: Financial Health
Strengthen the Academy’s financial health
- Meet all basic financial needs through tuition and fees
- Establish a plan for limited, yet strategic, fundraising to meet specific needs, such as building projects, technology, or financial aid
- Develop and create an endowment to allow for more needs-based scholarships and to fund capital projects
- Raise capital funds for construction of new educational building
Strategic Goal #4: Student Enrollment
Continued focus on building student enrollment
- Advance word of mouth advertisement throughout the area ECA serves
- Seek to re-enroll current ECA families at 90% each year
- Continue development of summer programs with the goal of bringing students to the ECA campus
- Continue to develop website to better represent ECA
- Continue developing program designed to help international students who need additional services to help with learning English
Strategic Goal #5: Facilities
Maintain current facilities and construct new facilities
- Continue attention to cleanliness and maintenance of the current ECA facilities
- Develop building plans for future ECA expansion to include gymnasium and sports fields
- Begin construction in April 2023 of new 12,000 sq. ft. educational building - conceptual sketch below
